Tutoring & Mentorship
Education is a solid foundation to a bright future. But educators cannot always fully meet the needs of learners because they are not always with them. For this reason, most parents turn to institutions offering private lessons and extra classes to ensure that their children not only perform well in school, but also excel. We provide master classes in partnership with other institutions that provides extra lessons for difficult subjects such as maths, science & accounting.
Mentorship
Establishing a mentorship relationship can provide mentees with immense advantages, such as new knowledge, expanded networks and the ability to advance their career. The institute recognizes that mentoring is crucial to personal and professional growth, so we offer mentorship sessions every semester.
Early Childhood Development
We run a school stationary and book drive campaign to collect and distribute stationary to crèches, schools and families without stationary or to other places that reach families in need of books/stationary. The Book drives are a great way to raise awareness for the importance of reading. The books afford learners with opportunities to practise, role play, and research, solve problems, compare issues, carry out practical projects and analyse events. In addition, we ensure that our ECD books promote critical thinking and undertake educational excursions to stimulate cognitive development of the learners.
Edu-Tourism
Educational travel, also known as Edu-tourism is a form of tourism whose primary purpose is gaining knowledge and engaging in cultural exchanges. It involves traveling to a different province/country or region to learn about various subjects such as history, languages, art, and environmental issues. Planetary Academic Excellence recognize that travel is the foundation of a well-rounded education. Our tours are professionally planned and crafted based on the needs of the entire group. Gauteng Chapter
Planetary Academic Excellence in partnership with Supreme Girls hosts a GAP Year Programme for girls who have completed matric but are unemployed and unable to further their studies. This is a 4-day programme hosted over 4 weeks (1 day a week). It covers online studies, volunteering, entrepreneurship, digital skills. The cost is R700 per person and we only take 10 girls to keep the programme impactful and engaging. Girls will have tasks to complete on days they are not attending. Certificates of completion will be issued to all participants. This is hosted at The Cottage Garden in Dube; Soweto.
